It started in 2005 when the club members decided to support Strong Start® by sponsoring the program for 3 years at King Edward Public School. Impressed with the results being achieved by the young learners and their Volunteer Coaches, the club has made another 3-year commitment, providing financial support for St. Paul Catholic School.
The Rotary Club of Kitchener-Grand River’s sponsorship of two school communities represents a substantial investment to help ensure all our children learn to read. In doing so the members of this service club have provided much more than funds needed to operate this program. They have shown, clearly, how much this community rallies around its children.
