The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation A Strong Supporter of Strong Start®
The Letters, Sounds and Words program of Strong Start®, since its inception in 2001, has been such a success in helping young learners that teachers asked that it be expanded to include another early reading skill. This inclusion required designing and producing new materials and activities, rewriting the training program and producing a new 40-minute training video… a very time-consuming and costly endeavour! Throughout this lengthy process the Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation has provided much-appreciated encouragement and financial assistance.
Thank you Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation for helping us to assist young children in learning to read, provide meaningful volunteer opportunities and build community by encouraging those who live and work here to be involved in supporting our children.
