Christmas has come early to Strong Start®! 
First, the Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation delivered a $5,270.00 grant to help finance a new phase of our program. We are expanding our program to include the skill of Sound Blending, i.e. the process of putting sounds together to make words. This gift will help put a smile on many young faces as they acquire even more of the skills they will need to learn to read.
To light up the Christmas tree, the Audrey & Gerald Moser Trust of the Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation, sent a gift of $1,500.00!
Then, an unexpected gift arrived under the tree from Jennifer Stockall of Kitchener. Jennifer heard about our program and wanted to offer her support.
These gifts from The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation, the Audrey & Gerald Moser Trust and Jennifer Stockall are tangible evidence of how this community rallies around its children. To say that we are both gratified and encouraged by their recognition and support of Strong Start® as a community builder is an understatement!
