A Blooming Affair Fashion Show, one of KW Oktoberfest’s feature events, celebrated 40 chic years. This year’s stylish event helped ‘outfit’ Strong Start with proceeds from the raffle going to support our early literacy programs. What a great opportunity for us to share what we do in the community! It was a very successful event where all attendees enjoyed the local fashions and boulevard of boutiques.
We had the opportunity to set up a display in the main lobby of Bingeman’s Grand Ball Room to provide attendees with more information about Strong Start, and recruit new volunteers. A Blooming Affair also enlisted the help of a child model at Gemini Models Agency to read live, an excerpt of Sean’s Story during the children’s section of the fashion show. What a moving presentation!
