Child aged 4 to 8 Book: Lily and the Paper Man by Rebecca Upjohn

Lilly, a young girl runs straight into a gruff and untidy-looking man selling papers on the street when walking home with mom. Initially frightened, she avoids the area. But as the days get colder, she becomes worried that the man might be cold. Lily comes up with a wonderful idea. This is a touching story of compassion and thinking of others.

Family Activities

  • Donate towels, blankets, collars, and animal treats to the Humane Society.
  • Help your child find one of their gently used toys and donate to a child in need.
  • Shovel your neighbour’s driveway together.
